Are you talking about the EPAT course as the current GB course was not there in 2022 also at that time it didn't have that much 50+ courses.

I just watched the old EPAT. Everything except two presented by Ernest Chan is just basics and conducted by Indians. Hope the new version is better than that.

Read some academic papers and implement their models. I don’t see any value in EPAT superior than it. If you cannot do it, EPAT just gives you naive models and you still have to do it by your own. So, tell me what’s the difference? Nada.

 

So you mean it is no value to buy this package of 50+ course then if only giving us very basic and naive models, which is useless to help us making meaningful profit?

 

No one's going to give you the keys to the kingdom. You need to learn the basics first, and then it's up to you to do research (reading papers, analyzing data, testing hyptheses, etc..) which is not easy. If it was easy everyone would be rich already. If you don't know the basics, it's at least good to learn them from higher quality courses so you get a good base from which to start.

 

If you want to spend thousands of dollars for a profitable strategy, you will be very disappointed at the courses. You have to work very hard to be a quant trader. All these courses could provide you is a framework to do your own research. That means reading academic papers, implementing ideas and refine models. Then, you will finally have a good model and start to develop a strategy based on it.
