In this video, I'm going to demonstrate the NOBS Nut Cracker indicator. This is a tool which helps you get your Nut by automating your exit.

It does this by calculating all your commissions, and drawdown, and moves your target to where it needs to be, for you to get your Nut.
If you're new to the Nut concept, please take a look at nobstools.com/nut.

But to quickly summarise for you here, your Nut is your goal for the day. It's the amount of money you want to make before you stop trading.
So if you want to make $50,000 a year, your Nut needs to be $200 a day.
If you want to make $100,000 a year, your Nut needs to be $400 a day.

When you have several losing trades, you need to manually calculate how many ticks you need and adjust the target in your ATM accordingly.
This is where the Nut Cracker is a really helpful tool. It does all this for you and automatically calculates your drawdown and all your commissions.
All you need to do is tell it how much money you want to make, and it will do the rest.

Now let's run through a quick demonstration. As you can see, I am using the Playback tool in Ninja Trader.
The first thing I am going to do is add the indicator to my chart and tell it what account I am trading from.

With the indicator active, lets play some market data and place a trade.

Lets pause it there.

As you can see, the indicator shows you your current PnL and how far away you are from getting your Nut.
The PnL shown here will always be different to what's reported in the accounts tab, because this deducts your commissions. This shows you your true PnL.

Now let's take a look at the indicator settings.
Here you set your account and your Nut.
Additionally if you prefer, you can enable an information box. This shows you your calculated totals and how many ticks you are away from getting your Nut.

If you'd prefer to hide the live PnL, untick this box to turn on naked mode.
Lastly, you can position the live PnL anywhere on your chart and make it look as funky as you want.

Now lets play some more market data.
As you can see, as soon as you hit your nut, your chart lights up and turns green.

This indicator is really helpful to those who suffer with greedy emotions in their trading. It helps keep you focused on the number one objective, and that's to get your Nut.
It also prevents you from missing out on trades in the the time it takes you to manually adjust your ATM in between trades.

Out of everything that has so far been developed, this has become a firm favourite for our users.
It has made their sole objective for the day to 'get to green'. As soon as they see their chart light up and turn green, they immediately know, they've got their Nut.
